A Turning Point for Endless TV Tycoon — I Need Your Help ❤️
Hey folks! 👋
Today, I want to talk about something a little different. No new features, no upcoming updates, and no sneak peeks. Instead, I want to have an honest conversation about the future of Endless TV Tycoon.
The game has reached a critical turning point, and I really need your help.
Let me explain what's happening, what I'm trying to do about it, and how you can make a difference.
Want to help right away?
I've prepared a short, anonymous player survey that takes just 3–5 minutes. Whether you're an active player, a former player, or have never subscribed to Game Pass, your opinion matters!
Behind the Scenes: Things Aren't Going Well
Endless TV Tycoon has come an incredibly long way since I started working on it back in 2019.
What began as a small personal project has grown into a surprisingly complex television industry simulation, with Production Studios, Broadcast, Cable and Streaming Networks, hundreds of interconnected systems, and a passionate community of players who genuinely love running their virtual TV empires.
And development certainly hasn't slowed down. This year alone, I've released six major updates, introducing everything from redesigned production systems and Critics & Viewer Reviews to Goals, XP, Boosts, and countless improvements throughout the game.
I'm proud of how far the game has come.
Unfortunately, behind the scenes, the numbers are telling a very different story.
For quite some time now, Endless TV Tycoon has been losing visibility in the App Store. The game is being shown to fewer potential players, making it increasingly difficult to attract new people to our community.
At the same time, subscription revenue has been declining. Game Pass is what makes ongoing development financially possible, and despite all the new features and improvements, the income it generates has been moving in the wrong direction.
These two problems are connected, and together they're creating a situation that simply isn't sustainable in the long run.
There's no big publisher or development studio behind Endless TV Tycoon. It's just me, spending countless hours designing, programming, balancing, testing, and improving this strange little TV management game.
I've always known that building a successful independent game wouldn't be easy. But the current situation is becoming increasingly difficult, and something needs to change if Endless TV Tycoon is going to have the future I want it to have.
Finding a Way Forward
Over the past weeks, I've been digging much deeper into the game's performance.
I've been examining how players discover Endless TV Tycoon, how they interact with it, how subscriptions develop over time, and what happens when players stop subscribing or take breaks from playing.
And I've started to realize that the challenges might go beyond simply attracting more players or offering more Game Pass benefits.
Perhaps the game isn't giving everyone enough reasons to keep playing regularly. Perhaps some parts become repetitive, progression loses its appeal, or certain features aren't as enjoyable as I believe they are.
Perhaps Game Pass doesn't offer the right kind of value for the way people actually play.
Or perhaps there are completely different problems I haven't even considered.
The truth is, I don't have all the answers.
I can study statistics, analyze gameplay patterns, and experiment with new features. But numbers alone can't tell me what you're thinking, what you love about the game, what frustrates you, or what might make you excited to play again.
For that, I need to hear directly from you.
Your Opinion Could Help Save the Game's Future
I've prepared a short player survey, and I'm asking everyone who cares about the future of Endless TV Tycoon to please take a few minutes to complete it.
The survey explores two equally important topics:
- Your gameplay experience: What you enjoy most, what motivates you to play, why you sometimes take breaks, and what could make the game more enjoyable.
- Your experience with Game Pass: What makes a subscription worthwhile, why you might have canceled or never subscribed, and what could make Game Pass more appealing.
It's designed for everyone.
Whether you play every day, occasionally return after major updates, or haven't opened Endless TV Tycoon in months, I want to hear from you.
Whether you're a longtime Ultimate supporter, subscribed once and canceled, or have never spent a cent on the game, your opinion is equally valuable.
The survey is anonymous, takes approximately 3–5 minutes, and adjusts its questions based on your answers.
And please, don't feel that you need to be positive!
If something about Endless TV Tycoon frustrates you, tell me. If you think Game Pass isn't worth its price, I want to know why. If you've stopped playing because the game simply isn't fun anymore, that's exactly the kind of feedback I need to hear.
Of course, if you love something about the game, I'd love to hear that too! Understanding what keeps people playing is just as important as discovering why others leave.
There are no right or wrong answers. I just need your honest opinions.
Please don't put this off! If you want Endless TV Tycoon to continue receiving updates and growing into an even better game, taking a few minutes to complete this survey is one of the most valuable things you can do right now.
And if you know someone who used to play Endless TV Tycoon but has since moved on, please consider sharing the survey with them. Their perspective could be especially helpful.
What's Next?
I want to be clear about something: I'm not giving up on Endless TV Tycoon.
I've invested an enormous amount of time, energy, and love into this project over the years, and there are still so many things I'd like to build.
But I also need to be realistic.
Continuing to pour months of development into increasingly ambitious updates won't solve the underlying problems if I don't understand what's preventing the game from growing and keeping players engaged.
That's why this survey matters so much.
I want to use your feedback, together with everything I'm learning from the game's statistics, to make better decisions about what comes next. That might mean improving existing systems, rethinking certain aspects of gameplay, changing how Game Pass works, or taking the game in directions I haven't considered before.
I don't know exactly what those changes will look like yet.
But I'm determined to find a way forward, and I'd much rather figure it out together with the people who actually play the game.
To everyone who has supported Endless TV Tycoon over the years—through subscriptions, feedback, bug reports, App Store ratings, or simply spending time building their imaginary television empires—thank you. ❤️
You've helped turn a little idea into something far bigger than I originally imagined.
Now I need your help to figure out how to keep it going.
Please take the survey, be honest, and help me give Endless TV Tycoon the future it deserves.
Cheers,
Greg Karpati
