Endless TV Tycoon

Sneak Peek: Goals, Milestones, Boosts & a New Leveling System

Hey folks! 👋

I’m deep into work on the fifth major Endless TV Tycoon update of 2026, and I thought it was time to show you what I’ve been building.

This is going to be a pretty big gameplay update. My main goal is to give you a stronger sense of “What should I do next?” throughout the game, with clearer direction, more progression, and plenty of rewards along the way.

Let me explain…

Goals

First, I’m introducing a new Goals system that gives you small, recommended next steps.

Goals are short-term tasks that can usually be completed within a few minutes of playing. You’ll always have three active goals, and whenever you complete one, a new one will arrive during End Week.

You’ll also be able to dismiss goals you don’t feel like completing, so you won’t be stuck doing something that doesn’t fit your current plans.

Completing goals will reward you with XP and Boosts.

Milestones

Milestones are the long-term counterpart to Goals.

They are larger achievements that can be completed once per game and will offer greater rewards than short-term goals.

You’ll be able to view all available Milestones at any time, along with your current progress toward each one.

Goals will give you regular things to work toward. Milestones will give you bigger ambitions to chase over the course of your company’s story.

XP and the New Leveling System

Completing Goals and Milestones will earn you XP. Collect enough XP, and your game will level up.

The current system—where your TV company, studio, and networks all have separate levels—will be replaced by one unified level. In other words, there will only be one level to keep track of: your game’s overall level.

Leveling up will unlock new perks and possibilities, including:

  • New genres for your studio
  • More active shows, with the new maximum increasing to 20 🥳
  • More main actors per show
  • More weekly advertising contract offers
  • More weekly show pitches for your networks
  • The ability to operate more ventures (up to 4)
  • Additional Boosts

This should make progression much easier to understand while also giving you more meaningful things to unlock throughout a game.

Boosts

In addition to XP, certain Goals, Milestones, and level-ups will reward you with Boosts.

Boosts are one-time perks that you can apply to a show, episode, network, genre, advertisement, or even your entire company.

Some Boosts can increase viewership or improve episode scores. Others might give you a free action, reduce a cost, or help one of your productions avoid a problem.

You’ll be able to save them until the right moment and decide where they’ll have the biggest impact.

Simpler Companies and Pausable Ventures

I’m also simplifying how company and venture names work.

By default, your studio, networks, and other ventures will now use your main company name instead of requiring separate names for everything.

You’ll still be able to rename them from the game-loading screen, so players who enjoy creating an unnecessarily complicated media empire—and I know some of you do—can absolutely continue doing that.

There’s also something many of you have requested: you’ll finally be able to pause a venture.

For example, if you no longer want to operate a network and pay its weekly running costs, you’ll be able to pause it and resume operations whenever you’re ready.

Completely shutting down, buying, and selling ventures would require a more complicated system. I still plan to explore those options in a future update, but pausing ventures is a useful first step.

A Better Start for New Players

I’m also planning to rework the tutorial.

The new version will provide stricter guidance through the very first steps of the game before quickly introducing the Goals system.

New players will initially receive special tutorial Goals designed to teach the basics. These will gradually transition into the regular Goals used throughout the rest of the game.

This should make the beginning easier to follow without forcing players through a long, separate tutorial.

Why This Update Is Taking Time

As you can probably tell, this is a lot.

I spent quite a bit of time trying to work out whether I could release these features gradually so you could get some of them sooner. Unfortunately, they’re all tied together too closely.

Goals need rewards. Rewards need XP and Boosts. XP needs the new leveling system. The new tutorial depends on Goals. Releasing one part without the others would either make very little sense or create a strange half-finished system.

At this point, roughly half of the work is already done.

I’m doing everything I can to finish the rest as soon as possible, but there are still several unpredictable parts, so I’m not ready to announce a release date yet. I’ll keep sharing more as development moves forward.

There’s also something I want to say honestly: big updates like this create long stretches where I’m working constantly, but there isn’t yet a finished new feature for you to play.

I know some players prefer to subscribe only when a new update is released, and I completely understand that. But ongoing subscriptions during development are what make it possible for me to keep spending this much time on large updates in the first place.

The game’s subscription income still doesn’t cover all the time I put into it, so if you love the game, are able to support it, and would like to see it continue growing, keeping your subscription active between updates genuinely helps.

Thank you. It really does mean a lot. 😘

💖 Why Your Support Really Matters

This game started as a random personal idea back in 2019.

Somehow, thanks to this community, it turned into a living TV industry simulation that keeps getting bigger and more ambitious every year.

There’s no publisher or large studio behind the game. It’s just me designing it, programming it, creating the artwork, answering messages, fixing bugs, and trying not to accidentally break things.

The income from subscriptions still doesn’t fully cover the time I put into development, but every subscriber helps move the project closer to a point where I can spend more of my time working on it.

A Basic Pass removes the End Week subscription interruptions.

The Ultimate Pass goes a lot further:

  • Premium Features, including more than 1,500 promo images and custom images from your photo library.
  • Early Access to major new features.
  • Feature Voting.
  • A permanent place in the Hall of Fame. 🏆

Right now, Ultimate Pass holders get immediate access to Critics & Viewer Scores plus full written reviews for every episode.

And whether you’re a subscriber or not, leaving an App Store rating is another genuinely helpful way to support the game.

It takes less than a minute, costs nothing, and helps more players find the game. Every rating gives this strange little TV empire simulator a better chance of reaching the people who might enjoy it.

Whether you support the game through a subscription, leave a rating, report a bug, suggest an idea, or simply continue playing: Thank you. Really. ❤️

👋 Until Next Time

That’s all, folks! 🐽

Thanks for sticking with this weird, stubborn, deeply niche TV management game and the community around it.

Stay tuned... and until next time:

Keep pitching.

Keep producing.

Keep scheduling.

Keep scheming.

And keep owning prime time! 📺🔥
