Quick little insider scoop from the one-man Endless TV Tycoon kitchen. Things have been quietly simmering… so here’s what’s been happening — and what’s about to hit your screens next.

🛠️ Fixes & Polish

After the Custom Promo Images update, I spent some time cleaning things up and fixing a few annoying edge cases.

Here’s what changed:

• Custom promo images now show up properly in the Schedule list, Time Slot screens, and the Decisions screen in the Briefing Room (sorry for the miss 🙃).
• Fixed a sneaky bug where switching networks could mess up your season budget — it sometimes used the previous network’s actor preferences, which… yeah, not great.
• Added info about custom promo images to the What’s New screen.
• Improved accessibility on the Episode Production and Building screens.
• Cleaned up the Network Detail screen so “Select Network” is visible right away (no more scrolling just to get started).
• Unlimited money now shows as an infinity symbol on the Building screen.

Nothing flashy here, but these things make the game feel smoother moment-to-moment.

✍️ Critics & Viewer Reviews (Work in Progress)

Alright — this is the fun part.

The long-awaited Critics & Viewer Reviews system is well underway. I’m about halfway through, and honestly… it’s already getting interesting.

Here’s what’s coming (subject to change as I tweak things):

• The current Episode Score is being renamed to Quality Score.
• You’ll get a new Critics Score and a Viewer Score (both 0–100).
• These can disagree — sometimes a lot — depending on what critics vs viewers care about.
• If the gap is big enough, the episode becomes Controversial… which can actually boost viewership later.
• Both critics and viewers will leave short written reviews for each episode.
• All of this will be saved and viewable anytime on the episode detail screen.

While testing this, I’m already seeing some fun (and slightly painful) situations emerge. Some shows look great on paper… and then get absolutely roasted by critics. Others? Total chaos, but viewers love them.

Exactly the kind of drama I was hoping for.

I’m pushing to get this out as soon as I can.

Once this drops, the long-running Season 5 of Feature Voting finally wraps up — and a new season can begin.
