2024 In Review

As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to look back at everything that happened in 2024 and set our sights on an amazing 2025 with Endless TV Tycoon!

🌟 The Star of 2024: Manage Your Own Network

When we introduced the Feature Voting system last year, we never imagined that, as early as the second community-voted feature, you guys would pick something as massive as network management – out of 60-70 options, no less! But you did, and we love you for it. 🙈

This feature set was almost as big as a completely new game. But since we promised (and still do) to prioritize what you vote for, we started to work on it at the very end of 2023. Almost a year later, on December 6th, 2024, we finally released it! 🚀

Of course, we knew waiting that long without any new updates would be a drag, so we decided to break this massive feature into several big stages. That way, we could deliver new content earlier.

And so, updates 2024.1, 2024.2, and 2024.3 dropped big chunks of the complex network management system, all leading up to 2024.4, which launched the full (but still evolving) network management into the game—transforming Endless Studio into the aptly renamed Endless TV Tycoon.

Here are just some of the major features we delivered this year:

• Briefing Room: A new space for action assignments and decision-making.
• Library: A robust replacement for the old Shows screen.
• Promo Images for Your Shows: Over 100 images per genre (1,566 total) to help customize your shows.
• Scheduling Overhaul: A complete rewrite of how networks schedule shows.
• Renewal & Cancellation Overhaul: An in-depth revamp of how renewals and cancellations work.
• Scheduling Office: The new Scheduling Office, replacing the old Schedules screens.
• Revamped Networks Screen: A fresh layout with network logos, user-friendly filters, and sorting.
• Company Portfolio Screen: A new screen showing all your ventures in one place.
• Weekly Financial Overview: Formerly "Costs & Revenues," now including network-specific finances.
• Level Up Screen: View level-up requirements and perks for your TV company and ventures.
• Ad Office: A new room to manage ad contracts for your networks.
• New Tutorials: Redesigned paths to introduce the new network gameplay.
• Game Menu Revamp: A refreshed design featuring What’s New and Coming Soon screens.

Each of these took as much work as a normal-sized feature update, so you can imagine how tired we are right now… 😅 But we’re also super grateful for your patience and support throughout the year. You guys really kept us going, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you! 🤗

🎉 What’s Coming in 2025?

After we recharge our energy banks, we’ll kick off the new year by fixing any remaining bugs related to network management (we already dropped hotfix 2024.4.1 to address the most urgent ones). We’ll also investigate why games with advanced progress start to slow down.

Next, we’ll begin planning and developing our third community-voted feature: Planned Show Endings.

For 2025, we’re aiming for more frequent major updates. That’s why we’ve streamlined Feature Voting. In each voting season, you’ll have just 10 options to choose from—all focused, achievable features that directly expand or complete core gameplay. This way, updates will arrive faster and pack more punch.
